Performance Tech Motorsports is excited to announce it is adding series race winner Kyle Marcelli to its Le Mans Prototype Challenge driver line-up for Round Six this weekend (August 19-20) at Road America.

Coming off his LMPC class win at Mid-Ohio two weeks ago with another squad, Canadian driver Marcelli will share the driving of the No. 18 Le Mans Prototype Challenge car at Road America with season-long Performance Tech Motorsports drivers Anthony Nicolosi and Jarrett Boon.

The No. 18 car campaigned by the Performance Tech Motorsports team in the LMPC class of the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron has competed in every race of the 2011. In the first full year with an LMPC car in the series, team owner Brent O’Neill has been very happy with the team’s performance, and looks forward to having Marcelli behind the wheel during the Road America Road Race Show Case.

"This is a four hour race on one of the countries highest speed circuits," stated O'Neill. "Having a third driver with Kyle’s talent and team spirit is perfect for us. Our team is about performance, but also about team effort. Kyle is a great addition for this race."

The action gets underway for Marcelli, Nicolosi, and Boon on Thursday (August 18) at Road America, with the Le Mans Prototype Challenge cars taking to the high-speed four-mile track via an afternoon test session.
