Radical has signed a deal to enter the Russian motorsport and automotive market for the first time, with an impressive launch event in Moscow at the end of last month.
At the Konig Motor Club in Moscow, the SR3 RS was presented to the Russian media and public for the first time, led by Russian Racing Group Director and new Radical Russia distributor Ilya Kashin. Radical UK’s Jamie Robinson was present to talk to journalists and visitors about the Radical range which will be maintained and supported in Russia by the Russo Baltic Racing Team.
The Russian Racing Group will assist all aspects of Radical ownership, from the sale and delivery of new and pre-owned stock, to the supporting of customer’s racing and track day activity, even driver training to improve their race skills. As part of this, Russian Racing Group will be cooperating with the Moscow Raceway, Russia’s new F1 venue whose opening is scheduled for mid-July 2012. The hope is to establish a Radical Russia Cup in due course.
"It is a great pleasure for us to be a part of the great Radical community, and to offer customers in Russia and CIS countries the great opportunity to become a Radical owner or driver, and enjoy these exciting racing cars," said Kashin.
"We've spent a long time in considering the Russian market, and in the Russian Racing Group we have found the ideal partner to enter this exciting, growing racing market," added Nick Dove, Commercial Director for Radical Sportscars. "With the opening of the Moscow Raceway in a few months’ time, Russian track and race enthusiasts are going to be looking for the ideal car to enjoy the new circuit. Radical Sportscars with the Russian Racing Group can offer that. We look forward to working closely with Ilya and his team." |
