SUMMIT POINT, W.VA. (May 9, 2012) - Alliance Autosport with driver Scott Rettich recently competed in the BFGoodrich Tires SCCA Super Tour National at Summit Point Motorsports Park. The team came together to have a perfect weekend in the highly competitive Spec Racer Ford class by qualifying on the pole, winning the race, and setting a new track record.

The weekend started out strong, as Rettich set the fastest time in the first qualifying session in Spec Racer Ford. He then backed up his performance in the first qualifying session by being one of the few competitors to go faster in the hotter second qualifying session, and was the only one to qualify under the track record.

During the race, Rettich took full advantage of his starting position, quickly opening up a margin to the rest of the field. On the fifth lap of the race he ran a lap of 1:23.8, beating the 10-year old track record by four tenths. When the checkers fell, Rettich had a 14 second margin over second place.

“It was an incredible weekend for us,” stated Rettich. “We have never competed at Summit Point Motorsports Park before, but I was able to learn the track quickly and we had a very good car set up. I have to thank the Alliance Autosport team for giving me a very fast and reliable car. I would also like to thank PDI Communication Systems, Springboro Car Wash, Goodyear, Red Line Oil, and my parents for their continued support of our racing.”
